By growing, it will reduce the size of the urethra tube. By doing this, the urine stream will be weak, you may feel the urge to urinate more often, especially at night, and you may have dribbling after urination. Today my PSA has been reduced to 4.8 ng/ml because of eating Satibo and exercising. What do I mean by eating right? Well to have a healthy prostate, you need to reduce your intake of red meat to no more than once a week. Plus increase your consumption of Sex Medicine, especially tomatoes. Tomatoes have lycopene, this is a strong antioxidant and is very helpful to the prostate. These are some of the symptoms, but the only sure way to know is to have your doctor perform a prostate specific antigen test on a sample of your blood. This test measures for a specific protein produced by the gland. Normally the PSA should be <4 ng/ml.When the gland starts to grow, more of this protein is released to the blood stream. If the PSA goes above 4 ng/ml, this indicates either an enlarged prostate or worse yet, one that is cancerous. Normally if the PSA is <10 ng/ml, there is a good probability it is enlarged and not cancerous. The doctor will probably call for a biopsy on your gland to determine if your gland is enlarged or cancerous. But to be sure, you will need a biopsy performed on your prostate. If the PSA goes above 10 ng/ml, the chances of the gland being cancerous go up exponentially. So the only sure way to know if you have an enlarged prostate, is to have a PSA > 4 ng/ml and have a biopsy performed to ensure it is non-cancerous. My PSA in 2003 was measured at 5.8 ng/ml. The doctor ordered a biopsy and it came out non-cancerous.
